Welcome to Exam Four
This exam is the summative assessment for Module Eleven (11) through Module Fourteen (14). This exam will assess your understanding of the content and concepts of these modules and assess your ability to solve geologic problems. Because this exam is summative, it is considered high-stakes and therefore, will count significantly towards your final grade.
This exam may be comprised of mostly multiple-choice but may also include drop-down, fill-n-the blank, and mathematical-type questions. Due to these different types of questions, not every question will be worth the same amount of points.
Rules for this Exam
1) This exam is not proctored. You do not need to go to a testing center nor will you use a proctoring app.
2) You will have a 90-minute (1.5 hours) time limit to complete the exam. Once you reach the time limit, the exam will automatically submit and your grade is calculated from the number of correct answers you obtained from the total number of questions (including those not completed) provided. The established time limit is used as the proctoring tool to prevent academic dishonesty.
3) This exam must be completed in one sitting. Once you begin the exam, the clock will start and you must complete the exam in the allotted time. No modifications will be made to this policy. In other words, if you "accidentally" click Take the Quiz before you are ready...you are considered to be taking the exam and the attempt at the exam will count.
4) You will have two (2) attempts at this exam with the highest grade of the two (2) attempts being kept as your final grade for the exam. Please note that both attempts may be comprised of different questions but cover the same content/concepts as questions are pulled from extensive test banks.
5) Both attempts must be completed before the due date or the late policy for the course will be applied to both attempts regardless of the first attempt being submitted before the due date. This is a setting in Canvas that I cannot control and therefore, you have been for-warned and no modifications will be made to this policy so please ensure that both attempts are completed before the due date.
6) After your first attempt, the answers you have provided will be shown and only the incorrect answers will be marked. The "actual" answers to all of the questions will not be provided until after both attempts of the exam are completed.
